Exactly 135 days following the previous coach's first press conference as Rangers manager, successor Danny Rohl met with the media at Ibrox for the initial occasion.

The magnitude of the challenge ahead of him is widely recognized, considering his predecessor's chaotic and disappointing four-month tenure.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday boss was accompanied by club chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized pair of football director Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

But what precisely did we learn from the young German's first public appearance as the club's manager?

Rohl's Main Priority - Victory Comes First

A single message came through clearly from the new coach's first appearance before the local press - he recognizes the need to win matches, and do so quickly.

The previous manager Martin managed just 17 matches and 123 days in charge, so the question emerged about how long Rohl thinks is realistic to transform the struggling squad.

Although deftly sidestepping a specific response that might create future pressure, Rohl's communication was quite clear.

"With hope very quickly," he said. "This is essential.
"In this business you have not much time. One can talk about long-term vision but we know it's about immediate results and the short-term involves winning games. This is my requirement.
"Another aspect is also obvious - I need every squad member to comprehend how we want to play. I return to my main theme: victory comes first, entertaining football and it's together. By following this order, I'm convinced that I will remain very long here."

Expectations are Normal

The previous manager needed a police escort to exit the stadium after his final game in charge.

We've seen how toxic situations can turn at football clubs when performances are poor. Demonstrations have nearly become an expected aspect of the matchday atmosphere on each part of the city these days.

As Rangers' youngest ever head coach, the inquiry was posed about what qualities Rohl believes he possesses that would allow him to handle, never mind thrive, in among the highest-pressure positions in UK soccer?

"In my opinion expectations in this business is normal," he stated. "One needs to understand that rapidly.
"I think certain individuals might mention my age but I'm a decade and a half in this career. I experienced an excellent opportunity to be at the German club and serve as just the assistant coach, but I felt the reality to manage a team and the demands involved.
"When you start getting results and then some critics claim you need to produce entertaining football. That becomes the stage but that's exactly my intention. I enjoy that challenge and I'm excited about what's ahead."

The Sporting Director Explains Chermiti Signing & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had numerous questions from journalists for Thelwell.

Significant attention has focused on the hiring of his son as recruitment chief, with fans skeptical about his credentials for the position.

Nevertheless, he justified and explained the choice to recruit Thelwell Jnr to Ibrox.

"It remains awkward to hear and in appearance I believe everyone understood when we took this step to hire Robbie that he'd be seen negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of the situation is that we want to bring the top players here.
"My perspective on Robbie's career and situation is he didn't need family help in soccer.
"He served at Villa as head scout, after which he joined Norwich as head of scouting and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, multiple Premier League teams sought to sign him. What we did from the start of proceedings was discuss with the CEO, the chairman and vice-chairman Marathe about this situation.
"I was extremely transparent and I think he likely underwent a stricter procedure than anybody else employee by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to be successful for Rangers and I'm looking forward seeing him proving that he's going to be an excellent staff member for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell defended the signing of forward Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, after failing to score in 24 appearances for Everton.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portugal young international to Merseyside from Sporting - again for significant money in a fifteen million pound transfer.

The question came if he supports his multi-million pound signing, who hasn't yet register in seven matches for Rangers.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I believe the striker represents who's got huge potential.
"I've never questioned him whatsoever. Again, I think the manager will assist in maximize the potential out of the player.
"These are initial stages for the young player, he remains promising prospect and naturally with young talents they sometimes require patience.
"But I'm certain throughout of his career at the club he's going to prove that he's a highly capable footballer."

Stewart Acknowledges Fan Disappointment and Hurt

The chief executive was facing firing line, given the vitriol that has been aimed his way by certain club fans.

Additionally, there was a banner in the stadium during the last tie with Dundee United suggesting Stewart - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before being removed for them.

Like his sporting director, the CEO did not evade the topic.

"I totally appreciate the frustration and anger that fans are feeling because results this season haven't met good enough and no one is happy with those," he stated.
"The pain and disappointment they feel is mirrored inside the boardroom.
"Also understand that there must exist a channel for those frustrations and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as focal point for those and my role as a
