The Savior's reaction to violence is to turn the additional cheek – not as a gesture of passive acceptance, but as a way to educate the assailant; his crime policy indicates that whenever a person pilfers your jacket you should give them your pullover too.
The obvious and straightforward fact that Christ of the gospels advocates for a type of profound affection focused on the impoverished has consistently rendered Christianity rather a provocative belief system: appealing to the populace, but because of its intrinsic extremism needing to be contained. In the 1950s it was controlled by dilution – Protestantism was so prevalent that it essentially baptized the status quo.
A Battle for the Finest Within Us
